Incredible views
I hiked down here from Temperance State Park out of curiosity, took me about an hour round trip using the state trail that ran along hwy 61 but the walk as well as learning about Father Baragas by visiting the cross was informative and enjoyable....was also a very peaceful place for quiet contemplation.
It rained so they cancelled the outdoor service unfortunately. The location was beautiful!!
Beautiful historic site. I come here every year with my family to enjoy the seclusion along the Cross River mouth and the two rock beaches adjacent to it. Absolutely spectacular views at night when there is nobody around.
A wonderful spot to quietly take in the view of Lake Superior.
